Das Begrüßungsritual, das Carinas Familie in der 90ern aus der Sowjetunion nach Deutschland brachte – drei Küsse auf beide Wangen – zerlegte Carina in Formen und warme Farben, die sie dann zu symmetrische Konstellationen neu zusammensetzte, so dass Kompositionen entstehen, die unwillkürlich an russische Volkskunst erinnern.

The welcoming ritual that Carina's family brought to Germany from the Soviet Union in the 1990s – three kisses on both cheeks – Carina broke down into shapes and warm colours, which she then reassembled into symmetrical constellations, creating compositions that involuntarily recall Russian folk art.
