The question is how to realize the triad of ethics, aesthetics and socio-political action, that is, how to create an impact on the individual as well as on society.

There is no ready-made solution to this question. The answer must be found anew with each problem that arises. Demonstrating and collecting signatures are established measures, but they are not enough. To change individual and community consciousness more profoundly, we need a deeper commitment.

This is something that no one can do alone. But what artists and designers can potentially do is to create media and physical objects in the form of “products of togetherness” that are appropriate to change consciousness step by step through their use.

Designing and realizing "products of togetherness" is one of the main tasks for students at the Academy of Visual Arts, Frankfurt, and is also the focus of the petition.work education program.
