Take the unknown into account
What
What it is about: The question of the unknown is an essential factor in all decisions that have to be made; in private, business, political and social life. In contrast to a predictable chain of causality, we understand the unknown as a multidimensional web of free-flowing causalities. The potential of these free-flowing causalities cannot be predicted. So how do you deal with the unpredictable?
Why
Wy think it is urgently needed to be able to take the unpredictable (or unknown) into account. That requires the aestheticising of the unpredictable (i.e. of the free-floating causalities). In other words, the coordinates of the possible must appear visibly before our eyes.
It is definitely not about eliminating the unknown or unpredictable and thus excluding it from our decision-making. This was the idea, persisting from the Enlightenment to the present day, that the optimisation of functionalities (which requires a complete knowledge of the laws of physics and eventually of psychics) will lead to a bright and better future.
Today we have to accept more and more that the will to decipher and master the unknown in order to create a better world is an illusion that has turned into its opposite.
How
We implement it by using the practice of " Disegno " as a tool that allows us to offensively and creatively include the unknown in decision-making for what it is: a potential for cooperation in politics, economics and other social issues.
Take the unknown is aimed at decision-makers in politics, business and other private or institutional fields who are interested in analytical methods that complement the classical forecasting systems, which are generally based on causal chains.
