The undergraduate design program prepares students for leadership positions in innovative, social, and critical design practice, journalism, and publishing, focusing on design or for advanced studies in design-related subjects and continuing academic education (MA programs). However, the comprehensive creative and technical skills and critical thinking that students acquire in the program can be applied to a variety of career paths and entrepreneurial endevors.
Our graduates have achieved remarkable success: 89% obtain permanent jobs within a year of graduation or later successfully start their businesses.

Varvara is an artist, graphic designer, and AVA student in the 8th semester. Varvara’s artwork explores our relationships with sociality and community through drawing and textiles. The interaction of these elements, and their sometimes unlikely pairing, is what interests her.
