The first task will be to identify your own patterns found at the visual level:

If you activate your visual memory, what very typical patterns can you find?

1 Try to think of at least 6 different patterns. If you cannot think of so many, do some research.

2 Make rough sketches of the pattern, sticking to the pure form, i.e. in black and white.

3 Work out the pattern in detail, by hand or with a computer program, whichever you prefer.

4 Add colours to the pattern. Make sure that the colour corresponds to the cultural usage.
