Michelle Leopold, a 5th semester student, sums up the assignment perfectly:

"The assignment was to study Ulf Erdmann Ziegler's book Scotland and Other Tales.
Based on this book, which was to be the basis and essence of our design, I used different sentences to translate the images that these sentences staged in my memory into my own illustration.
The goal was to experiment and create harmony between the content of the sentences, the illustrations, and the typography.
I was interested in whether it would be possible to emphasize the content and focus more on the illustrations, or whether the coloring of the typography would change the mood of the entire composition.

The additional task was to use the students' results to present "literature in public space".
